Scientific materials can be defined as any object, tool, or instrument necessary in the study of many sciences. Generally speaking, scientific materials exist in order to assist, improve, and teach when dealing with scientific studies. Scientific materials can prove to be essential in successfully conduction scientific studies or research, and without their implementation, many aspects and actions could not be completed. Scientific materials prove most important when conduction experiments in laboratory situations. When dealing with laboratory situations, scientific materials may refer to the various lab instruments and equipment, to more common items such as notebooks, pens, computers, and textbooks. Each type of science material serves a specific purpose, and is design to not only aid in the study of science, but to also provide for precaution and create a safer environment. Laboratory equipment can generally be classified in two types. Glassware is one the categories, and encompasses all science materials found in a lab that are made out of glass.
