Science Discoveries

Science discoveries undoubtedly and continually help shape the way human beings approach life on a day to day basis. The impact that scientific discoveries have on people in unquantifiable and immeasurable. Science discoveries help shape the way people live their lives and transform the way humans think. The study of science can arguably be the best achievement that human beings have to offer. Some scientific discoveries have completely impacted that way people think, at the individual level as well as species in general. Science discoveries have often shaken the bedrock of logic and truth that people may hold as absolute.

Certain issues in constantly be argued by people of all walks of life due to extenuating circumstances outside the realm of science. Though there are many, some of the most popular reasons that science discoveries can alter one’s thinking and way of life are in correlation to factors of the human condition. In other words, the reasons themselves are formulated out the basis of human individual thought and often, against the logic of science. The most notable human-created faculty of thinking is religion and the concept of faith. Many religions have their own explanations as how and why certain things in nature have come to exist. Through many texts, scripts, teachings, and historical references, religion has more often than not offered its own explanations and theories that not only contradict science in the sense of logic, but to some, take precedence as absolute truth. The matter of fact is religion is a factor of the human condition. Science is the study of things of how they occur in nature in order to provide an answer or explanation for such phenomenon. However, though logic and science may serve many people as the best way to hold certain theories and ideas about occurrences in nature because of some sort of tangible evidence, religion and its various theories can not be dispelled either. The irony is the fact that scientific discoveries, though as absolute and verifiable of a truth or fact their evidence and findings may provide, by its own proper definition of their method gives room for error. That is to say, because scientific theories can not be considered as absolute truth, and are always up to speculation and scrutiny, they are open to criticism and the fallacies that religious explanations and theories provide for the very same inquiries. Neither scientific discoveries and their explanations hold more true than those of a religious nature. Though some scientific discoveries may provide for a more logical and acceptable explanation, the theory itself can not be proven as absolute fact or truth, just as any other that has religious ties at its core.

The example that juxtaposes scientific discovery versus religious explanations as a source of truth is an example that shows that the scientific discoveries themselves have an impact on how human beings live and think as a whole. Regardless of which of the two a person may favor, scientific discoveries will always have an impact on people and society because of their ultimate purpose of providing an answer to the occurrences in nature.
