Science and Technology
Science and technology are two terms that are often used together in the same sentence. It seems as if science and technology are dependent on one another to further the studies and development of each subject of study. In one of its more simple definitions, science refers to the history and study of the natural world in accordance to human understanding. Technology, is in turn, defined as the ability of humans to manipulate that understanding. The study of technology and science in one that not only gives insight to these particular areas of knowledge, but is an effort that gives a glimpse to the history of mankind as well. The impact that scientific discoveries have on people in unquantifiable and immeasurable. Science discoveries help shape the way people live their lives and transform the way humans think. Science research is the method or practice by which scientists accumulate data to be observed or studied in order to explain the phenomena that occur in nature. Scientific research is an aspect of human life that has proven to be of the utmost importance to help explain how things are in nature. In order for scientific research to be considered a valuable aspect in providing new information, a particular method is to be employed in order to give it validity. The method as to which science research is conducted properly is otherwise known as the scientific method. Science research can be conducted in a various and uncountable ways. For the purpose of establishing a more concise and logical approach, the scientific method becomes the most basic way to gather new information and knowledge in an organized fashion. The scientific method simply refers to a specific set of guidelines in acquiring, correcting, or debunking knowledge. Science, in its most general definition, is the practice of employing base of knowledge in a systemic way in order to produce a predictable outcome. Science is more typically associated to a highly specific technique or practice that is designed in order to remove a considerable amount of random outcomes, thus increasing the likelihood of a predictable or desired result. The word science, which has its roots in the Latin word for “knowledge” or scientia, is also used to refer to a particular system that is devised based on scientific method and research to further gain knowledge on a particular subject. Science is typically applied to aid in discovering new knowledge to increase human capacity to understand any particular occurrence in nature. Through the application of science, mankind has been able to explain how certain things in nature work, and help for the better understanding to predict future occurrence of any action in nature.
